Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Double XP are now available for PlayStation users.

The double XP event will begin for everyone else today.

PlayStation users have first dibs on the bonus XP as part of Activision’s double XP promotion for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

The double XP event is already active on PlayStation, and on today Xbox users will also receive double rewards.
On all platforms, the double XP event ends on December 2.
It’s not immediately evident if this double XP is ordinary double XP, double weapon XP,

One of the numerous benefits for Call of Duty gamers on PlayStation is early access to double XP periods.
The Modern Warfare II beta was also made available to Call of Duty gamers on PlayStation, and they also gained two extra loadout slots, Combat Packs with extra goodies each season, and additional tier skips if they bought the battle pass.
Users of the PlayStation receive a 25% bonus in weapon XP when they team up.

This type of special treatment for the Call of Duty franchise is provided by Sony to Activision, but it may not last forever.
Microsoft is actively pursuing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, along with all of its creators and brands, including Call of Duty.
Microsoft has stated that it will continue to release Call of Duty titles for the PlayStation if its acquisition bid is successful, although it is unclear how Call of Duty will function on the PlayStation should the sale go through.

It was recently rumoured that Microsoft might provide Sony with a 10-year licencing agreement as a concession to authorities in order to expedite the merger.

Everybody has to be able to participate in a future that they want to live for. That’s what technology can do.
